We appreciate the interest shown in our proprietary process and workflows for converting 2D seismic to 3D seismic volumes. This overview addresses

some of the most common questions we receive.

We have developed a physics-guided AI workflow that transforms 2D seismic data into high-quality 3D subsurface volumes. Unlike conventional approaches, our models are built to honor physics laws and geophysical constraints.

Our process begins with SEG-Y formatted post-stack data. Recognizing that older data may have incomplete or inconsistent trace headers, we conduct a comprehensive internal QC process before applying our proprietary workflow. This includes inspecting and validating header information, updating missing header words where necessary, and cross-checking against survey and mapping data. When needed, we can generate geometry files, ensuring data integrity at every step.

Our workflow is flexible:

Lines can be incorporated, regardless of orientation.

Input data does not need to consist of parallel lines.

While it is difficult to define strict minimum line spacing, our approach is designed to maximize value from the available coverage.

While we cannot share results from specific client projects, we have validated our workflow using a publicly available dataset containing both 2D and 3D seismic data, demonstrating its effectiveness and industry relevance.

Applying our 2D-to-3D conversion and benchmarking against the existing 3D volume, the results have been excellent in terms of alignment and accuracy.
